🚨Welding State Competition Update!🚨
What an incredible performance from our welding team at state!
🐺Andrew Bradberry took 6th place in the cutting competition with a time of 1:35 and missed the top spot by just 0.9mm – talk about precision!
🔥Samuel Calvillo placed 7th in Level 3, showcasing his impressive skills.
🐺Diego Andrade and Andrew Goodney were right on the edge of the top 3, proving they’re forces to be reckoned with.
🔥🐺🔥We’re so proud of these guys for their dedication and hard work. They gave it their all, and we couldn’t be more excited for their future!

On Monday morning, May 5, 2025, our Colorado ISD family experienced an unimaginable loss. Visal Kong, a beloved kindergartener in Mrs. Free’s class, passed away.
Visal was the kind of child who left a mark without even trying. He was full of life, joy, and had an undeniable spark that made those around him smile a little bigger. His absence is deeply felt in every corner of our school.
In a district as close-knit as ours, we aren’t just classmates and teachers — we are family. And when we lose one of our own, we feel it together. We grieve together, and we wrap our arms around the Kong family who are left hurting most.
We know this loss is felt by many. In the days ahead, we will continue to walk alongside one another with care and compassion. Support is available to any student or staff member who needs it as we face this difficult time together.
We ask that you hold the Kong family in your hearts and keep them in your prayers as they face the unthinkable.
He may have been small, but the mark Visal left on our hearts is immeasurable.

⚾ Our Varsity baseball team fought hard, and although their season came to an end today, we are super proud nonetheless! Coach Silva, Coach G and the boys had a great season, and their dedication and teamwork shined throughout! 🐺 ❤️
Wolves lost game 1 of series with Ozona 12-0. Lost game 2 in a hard fought battle 8-15.
