🐺🎓 Celebrating a Major Milestone for Our College For All Wolves
This past weekend marked a proud and powerful moment for Colorado ISD as members of our first College For All Wolves cohort officially crossed the stage and conferred their college degrees. It was more than a graduation, it was a celebration of vision, perseverance, and the belief that investing in people changes lives.
With teacher shortages at an all-time high, Colorado ISD made a commitment to be part of the solution by investing in our most precious asset, our people.
In the spring of 2022, CISD launched the College For All Wolves Program as part of the district’s Grow Your Own initiative. In partnership with Region 14 ESC and Cisco College, the program was created to support current CISD staff members as they returned to higher education, began or continued their college journeys, and worked toward degrees and certification pathways that strengthen our classrooms from within.
Since its launch, the program has continued to grow, expanding opportunities and partnerships with multiple institutions of higher education to meet the diverse academic and career goals of our Wolves.
One of those original trailblazers was Marisa Sisco, a member of the inaugural cohort, who helped pave the way for what this program could become.
We are proud to celebrate the accomplishments of:
Marisa Sisco - Bachelor’s Degree, Midwestern State University
Freda Wesley - Bachelor’s Degree, West Texas A&M University
Coach Cameron Lowman - Master’s Degree, Midwestern State University
Ambre Sandoval - Master’s Degree, Angelo State University
These achievements represent far more than diplomas. They reflect determination, resilience, and the power of creating intentional pathways to higher education and professional growth. This first cohort is living proof that when opportunity meets commitment, incredible things happen.
The College For All Wolves initiative was built on the belief that our Wolves, students and staff alike, can reach their highest aspirations. This milestone affirms that belief and sets the stage for even more success stories to come.
Congratulations to our graduates. You are representing your families, your community, and Colorado City with pride, and you are inspiring the Wolves coming behind you. 🐺🎓

Final times included:
⏱️ 12 seconds
⏱️ 16 seconds
⏱️ 20 seconds
Great teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking on display as students tested, adjusted, and improved their designs. Hands-on learning like this is what makes science come alive!

Each team made gains in the rankings:
• Team 24858 (Big Ounce) moved from 10th to 7th
• Team 23733 climbed from 14th to 12th
• Team 23616 jumped from 21st to 13th
All three teams continue to advance and are working hard to position themselves for a spot at the regional meet. To qualify, teams must finish in the top five in February or be selected as an alliance partner by one of the top five teams, and our Wolves are in striking distance.
With every competition, students are sharpening their building and programming skills, putting in extra work at home and learning from each meet.
📍 Next Meet: January 17
🕗 8:00 a.m.
📍 Tank Logix Center – Odessa
🏆 Big Tournament: February 17
We are incredibly proud of how these students represent CISD.
