🐺‼School Board Recognition Month | Thank You, CISD Trustees‼🐺
January is School Board Recognition Month, and Colorado ISD is proud to recognize the dedicated leaders who serve our students, staff, and community with vision, integrity, and commitment.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Colorado ISD Board of Trustees:
• Emily Strain, President
• Liliana Ornelas, Vice President
• Veronica Boone, Secretary
• Jamie Alvarez, Trustee
• John Martinez, Trustee
• Rachel Silva, Trustee
• Ty Wood, Trustee
These trustees dedicate countless hours to thoughtful governance, strategic planning, and student-centered decision-making, always keeping what is best for students at the forefront.
In 2025, the Colorado ISD Board of Trustees was first recognized as the Region 14 Outstanding School Board, and later earned statewide recognition as the 2025–2026 Outstanding School Board by the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA). These honors reflect exemplary governance, strong superintendent-board alignment, responsible stewardship of district resources, and an unwavering focus on student success.
Colorado ISD is fortunate to be guided by a board that leads with purpose, collaboration, and pride in our schools and community.
Thank you, CISD Trustees, for your service, leadership, and dedication to Wolf Nation.
