KK Epperson brought home 2nd place, and Harper Epperson followed with a 3rd place finish at the Ratliff Tournament.

Addison Rivera and Lilah Harbour are headed to Big Lake on March 7 to represent Wolf Powerlifting on the regional stage.

Colorado FFA members and Junior members took their bunnies on the road to attend the San Angelo Stock Show Rabbit Show on Friday.
Jacklynn McCain showed her broken colored mini lop buck against 118 others. He remained on the table to make it about halfway up the pack.
Paisley Scott also showed two mini lop senior does that went up against those 118 others. It was some tough competition.
Bridgett Ostrander showed her chocolate Dutch buck against 82 others but didn't quite make the top 5. She also showed some Blue Holicers were she had a 1st and 2nd place junior doe.
Claudia Chambliss showed her Rex senior doe and placed 3rd.
Kymani Martinez showed his senior Rex doe Blue Bell and placed 1st as well as won Best of Breed with her.
Congrats to these kids for an outstanding job! They did a great job showing and helping others not from Colorado FFA. They finished up the show day with a steak dinner and for some it was their first steak. They can't wait to take their rabbits further down the road.

Colorado FFA members and junior members have been very busy the past few weeks prepping and showing their goats.
Lanee Castro, Sophia Ventura, and Lauren Ventura showed their goats at the Fort Worth Stock Show where Sophia was one hole out from placing in the top of her class. These kids got to bring their goats home to try again at the next show.
Arianna Martinez, Lanee Castro, Raegan Silva, Raiden Matos, and Victor Gonzalez showed their goats at the San Angelo Stock Show amongst some very tough competition.
Lanee Castro, Danica Salazar-Taylor, Lyla Ramon, Bridgett Ostrander, Sophia Ventura, and Lauren Ventura showed their goats at the San Antonio Stock Show where several got some very lengthy looks by the judge.
New friends were met, new skills and knowledge gained to be better prepared for the next one, and everyone did a great job representing themselves, Colorado FFA, and Colorado ISD.

After hitting the road for the Regional Welding Event at ArcLabs, our Wolves showed out:

🥉 Adolfo Duenez-3rd Place, Underwater Welding (also competed in Level 3-awaiting final X-ray results)

These results didn’t happen by accident, this team continues to put in the work, and it shows every time they step into competition.

CHS FCCLA chapter members put together a presentation over mental health for the students at the high school. They discussed depression and anxiety and stressed how important it is to have healthy coping mechanisms! 🐺🧠❤️ They encouraged students to discuss other coping ideas and most importantly, to speak up and not be afraid to ask for help if needed!

The Lady Wolves powered their way to an 18-5 run-rule victory, closing out Day 1 in dominant fashion.
T and Ny also led the charge at the plate, racking up 8 and 5 RBIs respectively, offense was clicking all day long. 🔥

Our CHS Wind Teams traveled to TSTC in Sweetwater on Wednesday, February 18, to compete in the annual State Wind Competition. Throughout the event, students were challenged in multiple areas, including engineering notebooks, video presentations, and the design and fabrication of wind turbines built to generate maximum energy. Teams also earned points for demonstrating gracious professionalism.
Our students represented Colorado City ISD, the Colorado City community, KidWind, and our partners with pride. Their hard work and dedication were evident in every aspect of the competition.
High School KidWind Division Results:

The Supreme Wolves were also honored with the KidWind Spirit Award.
Open Division Results:
In this division, teams were required to build their turbines completely from scratch and use a different generator.

The Howlin’ Wolves also earned the Spirit Award for their division.
This year, only one team will advance to the KidWind World Championships. Our teams are still in contention and will compete again in Lubbock at Texas Tech on March 27. They are already hard at work refining their designs and preparing for the next opportunity.
