Hazel Lord, student-athlete from the University of the Southwest, visited our Employability classes to speak with students about the transition from high school to college and life as a college athlete.
She discussed the importance of commitment, discipline, and time management as key factors for success in college and beyond.
Students were engaged throughout the visit and asked thoughtful questions about expectations after high school.
Hazel is the daughter of 6th grade teacher Brooke Mayfield.
