We’ve had some congestion and a couple of minor fender benders in the south MP parking lot. To help improve safety and traffic flow, all CHS students will now park on the east side of the building (near the main front doors).
If you are picking up your high school student, please use the front area as well.
Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe! ‼🐺‼

We couldn’t do it without you!
Happy National Substitute Professionals Day to the incredible individuals who step up, step in, and keep our classrooms thriving. 🐺❤️🖤
Our substitute teachers bring flexibility, patience, and heart into every classroom they enter. Whether it’s supporting instruction, building connections with students, or helping our campuses run smoothly, your impact is felt every single day.
Thank you for being there when we need you most and for being an essential part of Wolf Nation! 🐺❤️

🐺Our little Wolves have been busy decorating the halls so everything will be festive and ready when we return from Thanksgiving break on December 1st. 🎄🐺❤️🖤

As we head into Thanksgiving break (November 24–28), I want to take a moment to thank each of you for the hard work, dedication, and support you’ve shown to our students and to Colorado High School throughout this semester. Your commitment makes a tremendous difference, and I am truly grateful for the effort you put in every day.
Today we will follow our normal bell schedule. During lunch, we will have our potluck meal. A big thank-you to Mr. Martinez and Sammy Calbillo for preparing the meat and taking care of the grilling for our staff, your work is very much appreciated.
I also want to share that I will be finishing my time here at the end of this semester. I have some health matters that I need to take care of, and I will also be spending time at the prison teaching. This upcoming schedule will allow me the flexibility to attend necessary appointments.
The district administration will be sending more information soon regarding the leadership transition moving forward. I will be letting students know this afternoon during WolfTime Assembly so they are aware as well.
As we navigate change together, I’m reminded of the words from Isaiah 43:19: “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” A reminder that new seasons can bring renewal, strength, and opportunity.
Thank you again for everything you do and for the impact you have on our students. I appreciate all of you and wish you a restful and enjoyable Thanksgiving break.
Mr. Steve Komppa
Colorado HS Principal
Colorado ISD
