📚🐺Katie Munoz visited Mrs. Gainey’s first grade class to read the book she’s written titled “Everybody Needs A Friend.” She discussed the importance of kindness and friendship with the class. Katie Munoz has been volunteering and assisting in Mrs. Gainey’s classroom for the entire 22-23 school year. 📚🐺

On Wednesday, April 12, CHS Band Director Sam Hale opened his email to some excellent news!
CES/CMS Principal Lorianne Toombs was awarded the Texas Music Educators Association Distinguished Administrators Award after being nominated by Mr. Hale.
Mrs. Toombs will be featured in the May issue of Southwestern Musician magazine along with the letter of nomination that Mr. Hale wrote.
Proving once again our unofficial motto, "We Are Better Together," applies in all aspects of our district. Educators nominate administrators, administrators lifting up students and educators, and our school board investing their time and resources to all.
Congratulations, Mrs. Toombs, very well deserved!

With no water, and in an abundance of caution for student and staff safety, Colorado ISD will be releasing students early. Pre-K-4th grade at 1:00 pm and 5th - 12th grade at 1:30 pm.
