🐺Colorado FFA members competed in Area contests for Horse, Livestock, and Nursery Landscape this past weekend on the Texas Tech campus in Lubbock. Many bettered their scores and Nursery Landscape qualified for STATE! Way to go!🐺
🐮Livestock team members were Kara Martin, Morgan Scott, and Wyatt Wylie.
🐴Horse team members were Mallory Carreon, Matt Farmer, and Ethan Silva.
🌻Nursery Landscape team members were Brandon Loyola, Madison Ornelas, and Morgan Rivera. These kids were 10th in the Tech contest, 5th in the area and Madison Ornelas managed a 10th high individual in the Tech Contest and a 6th high individual in the area.
All of these kids did an awesome job and learned much! No banner pic, they rushed back for prom. 😂

🌍🐺In Science, Mrs. Wright’s 3rd graders just completed a collaborative poster project over our Solar System. Each group researched information on their planet and then made a model using construction paper, chalk, and paint! Students then hung up their planets in the hallway in the order they are from the sun. ☀🐺

🐺🦋 Mrs. Casebeer's Pre-K 4/Head Start is learning about the butterfly life cycle. Students made a butterfly life cycle headband sequence. Our little Wolves are watching live caterpillars turn into butterflies and will release them after they observe them.🦋🐺

Our KidWind team of four 8th graders, Niko Austin, Ethan Rodriguez, Gabriel Gonzales, and Redwan Chowdhury with the assistance of Denice Bradbury, Irene Armstrong, and Harold Sowa competed in the KidWind State Competition. Our Wolves placed 1st in Wind Cars and 1st in Wind Turbines. These boys have taken renewable resources and ran with it. They also placed 1st in the Question Bowl. The judges bragged so much about our students' responses!
💥🐺Now to get ready for the National KidWind Challenge in Colorado! This is only the beginning of opportunities that are headed our way for OUR STUDENTS!💥🐺
