Tomorrow, October 18, CES/CMS students will be having a pole on who will win play offs between Texas Rangers and Houston Astros . If they are for the Rangers winning, they need to wear royal blue and red. If they are for the Astros winning, they need to wear Orange and Navy Blue. The winner will advance to the world series!!!

It’s a great day to be a Wolf!
On Monday, the Colorado High School Band earned a Division 1 at the UIL Region Marching Contest at Shotwell Stadium in Abilene! They will continue on to the UIL Area Marching Contest at Bivins Stadium in Amarillo this Saturday, October 21st. The top ten bands at the Area Prelims Contest will perform again that evening in the Area Finals. The top five bands in the finals will go on to the UIL State Marching Band Contest in San Antonio on October 31st.

Shake It Off!

A group of our TAFE members have been working hard on their project and it’s been so fun to include our elementary kids!
Merick Alvarez, Lilly Boyd and Kezlye Strain have organized a “handshake competition” complete with three rounds for our 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students. This project encourages the participants to stand tall, make eye contact and have a firm handshake when introducing themselves. They all competed last Friday for the first round and the top 10 from each grade is advancing to our second round this Friday, October 20. Each round they have added additional requirements so that the winner of the competition can stand tall and proud of their accomplishments!

Just a friendly reminder that CES/CMS pie sales are due on October 19. As part of our fundraising efforts, we kindly ask all students to participate by selling at least 2 pies. The students who sell the most pies will have a chance to win exciting prizes.
To make things easier for you, we have attached a flyer with all the information you need. If you prefer to order through the CES/CMS office's, you can come to the office, fill out an order form, and pay the CES/CMS secretaries.
We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who is helping CES/CMS with field trips and events that add valuable experiences to their learning.

Colorado FFA members Kara Martin and Daisey Roller tagged along with Miss Morris to pick up a few bunnies yesterday and brought along their rabbits plus some extra so they could show them at the Hereford rabbit show. They walked away with 3 Best of Breeds and learned a lot as well as got to network with several rabbit breeders. We left home with 3 bunnies, showed 5 bunnies, and came home with 7 bunnies for kids projects. Bunny 🐰 fun!
