🥣🐺Kindergarten finished up our unit on the colonial period by listening to the story Stone Soup! We made a list of ingredients, chopped veggies and made our own stone soup and yes, we added the stones! 🪨🥕🥦

🚨🐺 Wolves and Lady Wolves Show Up Big at District Track Meet!
The Wolves and Lady Wolves track teams put on a show in Roscoe, delivering their best performances of the season at the 2025 District Track Meet. Nearly every athlete PR’d in their events, proving that hard work pays off when it matters most. On paper, it didn’t seem like either team was set to make a run, but this is why we don’t race on paper!
Both teams finished 4th overall, and several athletes are moving on to the Area Track Meet in Sterling City next week.
🐺Lady Wolves on the Move
All three Lady Wolves relay teams are advancing—a first under Coach O’s leadership!
🔹 4x100 Relay – 3rd place (52.11) | Ellasia Boone, Presley Haag, AJ Goodney, Addison Rivera
🔹 4x200 Relay – 4th place (1:53.83) | Addison Rivera, Merick Alvarez, Addilyn Martinez, Ellasia Boone
🔹 4x400 Relay – 4th place (4:35.72) | Piper Hursh, Kyanna Martinez, Merick Alvarez, Presley Haag
Individually:
🏃 Merick Alvarez – 4th in the 400 (67.13)
🏃 Ellasia Boone – 4th in the 200 (27.27)

The Varsity Wolves came out strong, setting the tone early and battling all day. The boys finished 4th overall, racking up 86 points and multiple Area qualifiers.

🏅 Jeremiah Green – District Champion in Long Jump (20’7”) and Triple Jump (43’0.50”)
🥈 Ryland Senter – 2nd in Long Jump (20’2.50”) and 3rd in Triple Jump (40’7.50”)
‼ Every single athlete gave their all, and it was a great day to be a Wolf. Congratulations to all competitors, and best of luck at Area!

🐺Kindergarten learned Digraph qu yesterday morning. To help remember we attended the wedding of letters Q and U that afternoon! Mrs. Toombs did an amazing job uniting the two letters who will remain together forever. Following the ceremony, we celebrated the union with cake and punch .🩷

KK’s got the drive (literally), the skills, and the determination to go all the way!
🐺Some of CHS’ FCCLA chapter members had the opportunity to practice their speeches and present their projects in front of a group from the Mitchell County Retired School Personnel. The students were grateful for the opportunity to practice before they head to state next week, and were eager to hear feedback to help them improve! The chapter members are working hard to prepare for the tough competition they’ll face and are ready to make CISD proud! ‼️

💲 Last week, Mrs. Wulfjen’s classes worked on “Teen Centers” where they had the opportunity to test their knowledge about growing up! These centers ranged from knowing the format of a social security number to completing a job/housing application 📰 and working on an elevator speech 🗣 for career fairs. Students also had to address an envelope, write a check and give a professional handshake🤝! They had fun rotating through the centers and figuring out what they knew and what they needed to work on!

CHS is coming together to raise awareness and make a difference! Along with our dress-up days, we are on a mission to FILL Coach Komppa’s office with donations of tissues, paper towels, and toilet paper. Let’s pack it to the ceiling and show our support for this important cause!
