🚨 CISD School Closure - 2.12.25🚨
In an effort to help conserve water, CISD will remain closed on Wednesday, February 12.
Wolf Nation, we must do our part to support the city’s efforts to restore water to all residents. We know the past few days have been challenging, but by conserving as much water as possible & using only what is absolutely necessary, we all benefit.
We want to extend our gratitude to the city, the water crew & all those working tirelessly to repair the water system. Your dedication does not go unnoticed!
These closure's will not require any make-up day's.
Thank you for your patience & commitment to OUR community. We’re better together—stay strong, Wolf Nation!

🚨 CISD School Closure Announcement – Tuesday, February 11 🚨
Due to ongoing water issues in Colorado City, CISD will remain closed on Tuesday, February 11. Repairs are still in progress, and the situation has not yet been resolved.
We appreciate the hard work of city crews as they continue working around the clock to fix the issue, and we stand in full support of their efforts.
CES/CMS Spring Pictures will be rescheduled, and we will share a new date soon.
If you need potable or non-potable water, please reach out to the Colorado City Police Department or the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Department for assistance.

📢 Parent Advisory Committee Meeting 📢
The Parent Advisory Committee will be postponed tonight due to no water.

🚨 CISD School Closure Announcement 🚨
Due to the Red Alert Notification and verification of no water on CISD campuses, CISD will be closed on Monday, February 10. To ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff, we are making this closure out of an abundance of caution. City workers are working tirelessly to repair multiple water line leaks, but with 75+-year-old pipes, each fix leads to new challenges.
We want to extend our full support to the city as they work around the clock to resolve the situation. Your dedication is greatly appreciated, and we’re all in this together.
This closure will not require a makeup day.
The CISD School Board will still meet at 5:30 PM in the C.E. "Buddy" Compton Boardroom as scheduled.
Thank you for your patience, and we will provide updates as they become available. Stay safe, Wolf Nation!

FFA members have spent the past 6-8 months feeding, grooming, and training their animals in preparation for this day. Though the outcomes weren't what some had hoped the knowledge gained to prepare for the next year has been great!
Angel Molano did get pulled⭐ in his class which put him in the top third of a class of 67 goats.
Showing does 🐐 on Sunday was Jameis Casarez and Pryce Pinkerton.
Showing in the ag mechanics barn with his fencing tool was Pryce Pinkerton. He received a blue ribbon. 🙌
And showing market wether goats on Monday was Angel Molano, Alexis Martinez, Danica Salazar-Taylor, Lyla Ramon, Rocky Gonzalez, Arianna Martinez, Raiden Matos, and Victor Gonzalez.

#ThisIsWolfNation

CHS senior and TAFE President, Kyanna Martinez is practicing before she competes at the state conference in 2 weeks. She wrote and illustrated a book, “Coming Out of Your Shell” where Sheldon, the turtle is nervous about starting a new school. Kyanna has been visiting CES to read her book to all of the classes! This practice is helping her answer questions from students, and prepare to present to the judges. Kyanna chose to write about common feelings that everyone typically feels at some point in their life…but she has started a series! She wrote and illustrated a book last year, and the book this year helps strengthen her series! 📖📚
She’ll be reading to our school board members at the meeting on Monday, February 10th at 5:30 if you’d like to come listen! ❤️🖤🐺

Congratulations to Mr. Hale, for being voted CHS teacher of the month for January! 🎼🐺Mr. Hale is our Band director and is always working hard to pour into our students. He has been with CISD 9 years and when asked what his favorite part of CISD is, he said “my favorite part of teaching here is getting to teach small town kids. My small town band kids are so polite and very hard working! Their kindness and efforts make my job so much easier!” CISD is so grateful to have Mr. Hale and appreciate all that he does for our students, district and community! ❤️🖤
