🎶🐺Tomorrow, May 16, the Wolf Tones 5th Grade Honor Choir is traveling to Snyder for their well-deserved field trip! Before we hit The Rollin Alley for some bowling and skating, we're going to the square to sing at "Coffee with the Chamber" at 10am in the Pocket Park on the West side of the square. In keeping with their USA theme, we'll sing "This Land is Your Land" and "We are the World". We're very excited to perform one more time!
🐺For the last 4 days Kymani Martinez, Lilly Boyd, and Mrs. Follis have been learning from the best in the state of Texas from 1A-3A one act play state qualifiers by serving on the honor crew. They were selected through an application process that required them to list their accomplishments in theatre as well as how they could serve the state uil program! They had the opportunity to learn new techniques, see some amazing shows, and hear the critiques from the top judges in the state.
🙌Congratulations to these students for getting to work the state meet! If you see them around ask them about some of the shows they got to work. 🎭

Starting today, May 13th, we’re excited to announce our partnership with Counslr — a digital mental health support app that allows students and staff in grades 6–12 to text with licensed counselors, 24/7/365.
Access to the Counslr app is completely free and unlimited for all 6–12 grade students. The app makes it easy to seek support on your schedule — whether you prefer to chat on-demand or book a session in advance. Designed to be a safe and supportive space, all conversations on Counslr are entirely confidential.
It’s important to note that Counslr is not a replacement for therapy. Counselors on the app do not diagnose, treat conditions, or prescribe medication.
If your child is under 18 and creates an account, they will be asked to enter a parent or guardian’s email address. Once that’s entered, you’ll receive an email with more information about Counslr. If you do not wish for your child to have access, you’ll have the option to click a “Revoke Consent” button in that email. If you choose not to click it, your child will be able to continue using Counslr’s support services.

🐺 Mrs. Roach's 5th grade RLA classes read Waiting by Kevin Henkes and had class discussions that dug deeper than the surface to figure out how the pages of the book could be applied to their lives. They also discussed short term and long term waiting. To show their understanding, they each created a window art piece to illustrate what they are currently waiting for, short term or long term. From beach vacations to Raising Cane's chicken...from church camp to summer ball games... from going to college to being in the NFL, these creations did NOT disappoint!
