CMS sixth grade reading classes did an introductory activity for Wonder, by R.J. Palacio. In the novel, because Augie has Treacher Collins Syndrome, he wears a helmet and other students are unkind to him. The class brainstormed ways to show kindness on a daily basis. The students designed their own helmets and wrote paragraphs about showing kindness.
