Attention CMS 8th Graders!! This note will go home tomorrow.

With an abundance of caution, Colorado ISD will be starting school tomorrow at 10:00am. That is for Wednesday, January 25th, 2023. Buses will run two hours delayed. Please stay warm and be safe, and as always, we will notify you if anything changes.

WolfNation!
Please come out this Friday and join us as we celebrate our seniors!

Mrs. Bradbury's 8th grade students are participating in a speed and velocity walk drop lab. Students are measuring distances a student walked in 5 second increments and calculating the speed/velocity and graphing the change in motion each 5 second interval. Students will then analyze the graphs and differentiate motion on a position time graph vs speed time graph.

Wolf Nation road conditions are wet, safe for busses. We're having school at our regularly scheduled time, but will continue to monitor the weather throughout the day. Hope everyone has a great day of teaching and learning, BE KIND, BE SAFE, BE FLEXIBLE, BE BLESSED
Early Head Start & Head Start Parent Meeting! Thursday immediately after school. Colorado Elementary Cafeteria (meal will be provided, bring your family). See you there!

Varsity Lady Wolves & Wolves Basketball
Play AT Winters Tuesday, 1/24 (tomorrow)
Varsity Lady Wolves: 4:00 pm
Varsity Wolves: immediately after.

CHS will be canceling the JV Games vs Winters, for tomorrow 1/24/2023.
As of today CHS will be playing the Varsity Girls Game at 4pm and the Varsity Boys game immediately after. That way there is more time for travel and it is not as late.
If the weather gets worse than it is predicting the game will be moved to Wednesday at the same time. UIL rules state the next available date and that would be Wednesday. I do not like playing on church night, but it would put our athletes at a disadvantage if they had to play back to back Thursday and Friday.
CHS Athletic Director and Administration will make the decision if the games will be cancelled and moved to the next date around 11:15 AM on 1/24/2023.
Thank you all for your flexibility and understanding, at the end of the day, we are going to keep our athletes, coaches and community safe.

Headstart and Pre-K have been learning about community helpers and all they do for us! On Friday a police officer came to visit and show us around his unit. Thank you, CCPD! 👮♂️🚓

Taylor Bertrand, 2014 CHS graduate, and Jadyn Griffith, 2018 CHS graduate, spoke to the juniors and seniors on January 9th about life after CHS. They spoke to the kids about what they have done since graduating from CHS and the options that are available to kids. Their main point was to follow your heart and to do what you’re called to do. We appreciate their time and always love when our alumni come back for a visit!
