Biggers To Be Inducted to CISD Wall Of Fame

Local Basketball Legend Frank Biggers to be Inducted into the Colorado ISD Wall of Fame and the Big Country Athletic Hall of Fame. 

Frank Biggers, a former basketball player for the Wallace Wildcats, is set to be inducted into the Colorado ISD Wall Of Fame before the varsity Lady Wolves play at home vs Bangs at 6:30 PM at MP on February 2, 2024. Everyone is welcome to attend and celebrate this amazing athlete's accomplishments. 

Biggers, a 6'3" forward, played for the Wildcats, a small all-black school in Colorado City before integration. During his time at Wallace, Biggers led the Wallace Wildcats to five state championships from 1959-1966. In 1962, as a sophomore, he was recognized for his exceptional performance and was named all-state forward after leading Wallace to a 40-2 record and a state championship. Biggers was named Prairie View Interscholastic League all-state forward again his senior year in 1964. 

After graduating from Wallace, Biggers continued his basketball career at Cisco College, where he became the nation's third-leading scorer with an average of 32 points per game over two seasons. After serving in the Army during the Vietnam War, he played with the Harlem Stars basketball team. 

Mr. Biggers will be inducted into the inducted into the Big Country Athletic Hall of Fame on April 29, 2024 in Abilene.
